Skyscraper Blocks is a free tower stacking game you play in your browser. Every piece is a real building, drawn in pixel art from its actual facade: the Empire State Building, Taipei 101, the Gherkin and 152 others from 18 countries and regions. There is nothing to download and no account to create.
How to play
The game has two modes. Switch between them with the buttons above the board.
Stack mode
A crane swings each section of a tower across the screen. Tap or press Space to drop it. Line it up with the floor below, because anything hanging over the edge falls off and the next section is narrower. Finish a tower for 10 bonus points, then start the next one on its roof. Three perfect drops in a row win back a little of the width you lost.
Classic mode
Towers fall from the sky and stop where they land. Move them left and right, then build across the board. When a horizontal strip is covered from above, it clears and everything above drops down. Red marks the gaps where sky still gets through. The game ends when the skyline reaches the top.
Controls
- Computer: arrow keys move, the down arrow speeds up, and Space drops. In Stack mode, Space or a click drops each section.
- Phone or tablet: drag on the board to aim and swipe down to drop, or use the buttons below the board. In Stack mode, tap anywhere on the board.
- Pause: press P or Esc, or use the Menu button.
Tips for a taller tower
- Watch the rhythm of the crane for a few swings before your first drop. Its speed rises as you climb.
- Early mistakes cost the most, because every section above inherits the narrower width.
- In Classic mode, place wide buildings low. Keep narrow towers for the last gaps in a strip.
- A tower that lands close to its neighbor snaps against it, so you do not need pixel-perfect aim.
Real skyscrapers by country
Play the World Tour with all 155 towers, or open the Menu and pick one place. Towers then arrive in random order from that place only.
